Probably I'm not the only one with a digicam who finds photo editing the most time consuming and sometimes irritating.
I don't have Photoshop but even if I did I think I would prefer to use more simple methods.
I do have Coded Colour also known as Paint Shop Pro which I got with a magazine!!!
Anyway my present editing methos is as follows.
1)Open Picasa 2 and select shot.
2)Straighten and crop with Picasa and save.
3)Edit image with Paint Shop Pro.
4)Check result in My Pictures and if too much "Noise" apply "Noiseware"
5)Recheck image and if necessary sharpen with either Paint Shop Pro or Picassa.
6)If submitting to a forum resize image and check result for increased noise.
7)Try further editing if necessary. Any Thought on this please? Ian Mc

See, I have PSP 7 and 8 as well as Photoshop 5.5 and 7...
I was not impressed with Picasa, as a matter of fact
it annoyed me by resizing my pictures. Then I could not get it to do what I wanted to do, but that was my own inexperience with the program and not necessarily the program's fault! But I feel that choosing a photo editor is all a matter of personal taste and preferance. If it works for you and you are satisfied with the results, then who cares what anyone else thinks? I have seen some really fantastic work with many different programs, so for me it is merely a matter of what is comfortable for the individual.
