technique and index filter free heres my methods

and heres a big index of filters
heres my explanation of the filters and tech

below are the main color filters
Flaming Pearownload
i virtually try every layer combo till i get a look

ie soft light layer under lighten layer under color burn layer
at different percentages
then copy merged edit paste put that in color layer mode
or difference or i try till i like

i do everything freehand no masks paths
thats why my edges are not perfect

i use flaming pear freebies
chromasolarize especially in exclusion mode copy merged and pasted in as color mode layer
and tachyon especially in soft light makes weird colors

i also love harrys filters3
http://thepluginsite.com/products/ha...ters/index.htm
their color filters have a random button
amongst other cool stuff

this ones a filter traditional photographers might like
the presets are wild but configurable
Welcome to optikVerve Labs - Home of virtualPhotographer

i just started using this
perfect random color/luminosity generator
pog_lab_blen···lpha.zip
i use it with this b/w convertor to tint Downloads - Photo-Plugins 6&Itemid=43
you can even create quadtones playing with layer modes

heres an index of filters
this one sorts by freeware and is super extensive

I use the optikVerve lab and I love it, I'll have to try some of these other plug-ins.
